late for school

Yesterday,my father emailed Clarice form teacher for an apologies on behalf of her. Clarice came to school late because it was shown that Wednesday is a contact time which means that she could go to school later.

This did not seemed to happen and when she reached school,She went up to the hall and saw nobody. Then,she went to the classroom. She saw pupils in the classroom doing their work and reading.

Her teacher asked her,”Did you wake up late?”She answered in a low tune ,"No,"as she find it embarrassing. After that,she went back to her seat.
